Common questions
Does Vicejar charge my card when I'm caught?
No. Vicejar keeps the tab. You pay the jar's keeper with Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, Apple Cash, Zelle or cash, and the keeper confirms it.
Someone caught me and I didn't do it.
Open the catch from the jar screen and tap Contest this catch. The person who caught you can take it back, or the jar's keeper decides.
I caught the wrong person.
Tap Take it back on the message that appears after a catch. For ten minutes you can also open the catch and take it back there. After that, the keeper can remove it.
How do I add my kid, who has no phone?
If you keep the jar: tap the invite button at the top of the jar screen, then Add someone without a phone.
How do I get paid as the keeper?
Open Settings and fill in How people pay you. Members see those options when they tap Pay up. When money arrives, tap Got it on the payment.
What does "Open the jar" do?
It ends the round, shows everyone the total and who was caught most, and asks each person to pay their tab. A new round starts at zero. Unpaid tabs carry over.
I got a new phone. Where is my jar?
Your account key is in iCloud Keychain. Sign in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Keychain on, install Vicejar, and your jars appear.
How do I catch someone faster?
Add the Vicejar Catch widget to your Home Screen, or say "Catch someone in Vicejar" to Siri.
How do I cancel Vicejar Plus?
On your iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Vicejar.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings, Delete my account.
