Vicejar

Terms

Effective 30 September 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Benjamin Gadbaw, who makes Vicejar. By using the app you agree to them.

What Vicejar is

Vicejar is a record-keeping tool for a game between people who know each other. A group agrees on habits and a price for each, members record catches, and the app keeps a tab for each person.

Money is between you and your group

Your account

You must be at least 13 to use Vicejar, and old enough under the rules of any payment app you use with it. Your account key is stored in your iCloud Keychain. You are responsible for what is done from your phone.

Fair use

Accounts and jars that break these rules may be removed.

Vicejar Plus

Plus is sold through Apple as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time purchase. Subscriptions renew until cancelled in your Apple Account settings at least 24 hours before the period ends. Payment, refunds and cancellation are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. Plus lifts the limits on jars you keep. If Plus ends, your jars and their records stay, and the free limits apply to new jars, members and habits.

The service

Vicejar is provided as is, without warranties. It may change, and it may be unavailable at times. To the extent the law allows, Benjamin Gadbaw is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for disputes between members of a jar, and total liability is limited to what you paid for Vicejar in the 12 months before the claim.

Ending

You can stop at any time by deleting your account in Settings. These terms are governed by the laws of California.
